For the past 40 years, I’ve made my living in the small-town newspaper business.

Over that time, I attended thousands of meetings covering village, township and county government.

I have covered everything from court proceedings involving sex scandals to murders to high school musicals to weekend beer festivals. It’s been an interesting life.

The blog is titled The Evening Views because I hope to eventually post on here daily thoughts from the news of the day.
